Veterinary medicine Post 9: My favourite relative
My oldest brother
It wasn’t too difficult for me to choose my favorite relative. I don’t see my uncles and cousins very often, and about my grandparents I think that I respect them too much to have a more friendly relationship.
I have two brothers but the relationship with each one is really different. With Andrés, my oldest brother, I have a really nice relationship, we get along very well, maybe because he always wanted to have a sister (he is 3 years older than me). When my middle brother was born, my oldest brother was sad because he wasn’t a girl.
When Andrés did the military service, I felt lonely, because he has always been my confidant, he always listens to me and we understand each other easily. In those time I missed our long conversations where we stayed up until very late (like 3-4 am) speaking about family memories, existentialist theories and our own worries, we advised us mutually.

Also we have many things in common, we have been to concerts together, and we get along very well with each other’s friends. My brother is always sincere and objective, he is very fair. He is also very cultured. He taught me to be honest and straightforward.

Veterinary medicine Post 8: My future career
Mmm... It is difficult for me to think  about my future because I’m not pretty sure about what would I like to do, but something I know is that I don’t like routine, so I will try to avoid it. Once I liked the idea about having my own veterinary clinic, attending small animals in a more humanized way, with ambulances, register and adoption, 24 hours, etc. But now I think that working out door, breathing fresh air, could make me happier. I like horses and the human-animals relationship, then I think that hippotherapy is a good option for me cause the countryside is a good environment for the horse and the fresh air is something that will help to the patients. I would like to work in something like a hippotherapy center with internal people who could not only go to the sessions, but also share more moments with horses. I think that once I finish my studies as a Vet, I will have to look for more information about this subject.

thanks for read this!
See you,  regards ;)

Post 6. Why do you want to be a veterinarian?
Since I was a little kid, I have had all kind of pets, such as dogs, cats, hamsters, laboratory mice and gerbils. My brothers and I, usually found little abandoned dogs and we always wanted to adopt them, but our parents didn't let us have pets, so we kept them hide in some room but they finally realized that we had them.
The first pet we had was a dog called 'Cariñosa' when I was 5 years old. One day she run away and she was attacked by other dog, she bled out and didn't survive. Every time I see animals suffering, I wish I could do something for them. Seeing the pain in their faces and feeling the impotence of not knowing what to do in that moment, made me study veterinary medicine.
Till now I have learnt a lot about animals and I could understand more about my pets. I like the relationship between animals and humans, I would like to internalize deeper in this field.
Other career that I was interested in was theater, something very different, even though, I have always found it interesting.
